@ Tortworth Forest Centre, South Gloucestershire

Friday 3rd July, 4pm - Sunday 5th July, 2pm

Create meaningful connections and memories with your family and the natural world whilst experiencing what it means to live in community at these intimate family wild camps (maximum of 40 people per camp).

Perfect for novice and expert campers alike, you will be fully support by experienced and qualified forest school instructors. The fully packed programme will keep everyone entertained and includes:

  • Foraging for food and preparing a foraged feast

  • Sharing evening meals cooked on a campfire

  • Cooking food and toasting marshmallows on a campfire

  • Lots of forest school activities

  • Learning how to use tools in a woodworking session

  • Spotting wildlife, in particular bats

  • Campfire songs and storytelling

  • Feeding the resident goats

  • Playing woodland games

  • Soaking in the sights and sounds of a beautiful woodland

  • Much more

All evening meals are provided, allowing you time to relax and get to know each other. Just check out our menu. Don't have a tent? Hire one of our bell tents or family tents and arrive to have it all set up for you. All tents are unfurnished so you will need to bring something to sleep on and bedding.

We try to find the right balance of a truly wild space and having just enough facilities to be comfortable. We have a compost toilet, fire circle with some benches around it, a sheltered space if it rains, a washing up area and hot water available for tea and coffee most of the time. We also have a large woodland to explore, a river and several goats!

To find out more about the site, check out Tortworth Forest Centre.
